UCI News Published an article, “Looking at cancer in a whole new way: UCI moves to the national forefront by taking an interdisciplinary systems biology approach to the devastating disease” on June 6th, 2018. This piece highlights the research of 3 UCI Faculty: “UCI’s Marian Waterman, professor of microbiology & molecular genetics; John Lowengrub, Chancellor’s Professor of mathematics; and Arthur Lander, Donald Bren Professor of Developmental & Cell Biology [who] have received a $10 million National Cancer Institute grant to establish the UCI Center for Cancer Systems Biology, also known as the Center for Complexity, Cooperation & Community in Cancer.
